Please let us know about your prayer requests/needs or your praises/celebrations so we can join with you in prayer and support you. Please note that we will keep your prayer needs confidential at your request. Provide as much detail as you can so that we may pray very specifically for your need and how we can help you. If you provide us with your contact information, we will be able to reach you in case we have any questions.
Here are some of the prayer requests we have recieved:
- Please remember Hettie Clift and her family in prayer. Her son and daughter in law Ronnie and Wanda Ford were killed in a car crash. Her two granddaughters were also in the car. Samantha age 10 was not hurt scratched and bruised. But Aanda age 15 was seriously injured she broke her arm and ribs and did something to her spine they did surgery the doctors say she may be paralyzed And with everything that this little girl is going though she has to deal with the loss of both her parents.
- Jayke Buck - Cathy's cousins new baby. He is missing or they think his is missing an enzyme that can cause mental retardation and strokes. It has something to do with him breaking down what ever it is in milk and foods. I haven't spoken with anyone since Tuesday, but if the levels hadn't came down by yesterday they were going to send him for genetic testing.
- Ed Hagins - Cathy's friend a former co-worker, in Cincinnati Ohio. He has had cancer a couple of times, had stem cell replacement, and a bone marrow transplant. He has been tested recently, and at this time is cancer free, and his bone marrow tests show that the donor marrow is now 96% of his marrow, which means it has taken hold and is rebuilding his immune system.
- For Walter, our pastor. He asks that we pray for him to be the Pastor we long to have and that we love him enough to tell him the truth.
- For our church. Walter has asked that we pray to understand what would have to change for us to be the "Perfect Church" and what we as individuals would have to change to allow this to happen.
- Cindy Carnes - She asks us to pray for her and her co-workers as her company has announced that they will close at the end of the year. Let's pray that they find employment in a place where they are meant to be.
- Danny Armstrong had a dialysis port installed, and will be undergoing kidney dialysis until a donor kidney can be found.
- For the soldiers and others who protect us. Joey Evans, the son of former TUMC pastor Steve Evans, arrived in Afghanistan with the Rangers on September 2nd..
- For the victims of the disasters all over the world and those who are trying to aid them.
- For the lost in our community.
- A friend of Dave and Jeanette Head, Earl Butterworth, is being treated for leukemia. Early reports are the disease is not as advanced as previously feared, but Earl and his wife will need your prayers in the weeks and months ahead.
- Michael Breeden has undergone another treatment for heart disease. Please continue to pray for Michael, Melissa, and Ashley as he continues his battle.
- Eddie McMillan's Aunt Mary is being treated for cancer, both with surgery and chemotherapy. She is not recovering as quickly as hoped, so be in prayer for her family and doctors as they move forward.
And some praises:
- For the young people of our church that God is calling for His service!
- For new leadership at Carter Middle School who is asking the churches of the community to become more engaged in helping the schools.
- Praise in the Park was a success, despite the cold weather. Work has already started toward next year's event.
- The new Girl Scout group has taken off like a rocket. There were 12 girls registered, but a total of 22 girls came and joined the troops. There are 11 Juniors and 11 Brownies. Thank you to Denise Morrisey, Gina Underwood, and Carol Wilson for leading these groups.
- It's almost time for Resurrection 2010 in Gatlinburg!!!!
- We would like to thank God for all of our veterans, both retired and active duty. It is because of your sacrifice that we live in a country where we can live and worship freely. Thank You!
